Travelling with family and friends in a group of ten leaves little time for photography. My camera has hardly come out of the camera bag so far, but last night we took a stroll to a nearby beach for sunset, so out it came.
At Itaipu, the view from the beach looks across the bay to Rio de Janeiro, with mountains on both sides of the bay entrance, giving a lovely outline in the distance. The sun had already set, but the colours were starting to develop in the sky, reaching their peak about half an hour after sunset.
The reflections in the water were wonderful, and I tried to include a couple of fishermen on a kayak for scale, and waited for patterns to appear as the waves rolled in and ebbed away.
